Fuel scarcity returns in Abuja

PUMPS in filing stations in Abuja metropolis and the outskirts are drying up again, signalling another round of fuel scarcity, especially the Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), popularly known as petrol.

The tell-tale sign of such scarcity; long queues are surfacing again in the negligible number of filing station with the PMS product.

Even the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC)-powered filing stations remained deserted as of Thursday.

The scarcity became noticeable last Monday, with many filing stations completely deserted due to non-availability of PMS.

By Wednesday, the queues were already bulging at the few filing stations where petrol was being dispensed, with the situation reaching a near-crisis situation on Tuesday.
