The Kwara State Governor; Abdulfattah Ahmed announced this in his monthly programme while also explaining the reason behind the 2013 budget having a higher recurrent expenditure than capital expenditure.
The governor while shedding more light on the need to procure the 10 new air crafts noted that the intake of students are increasing and also to provide necessary training equipment to meet international standard.
The federal government, he announced has given its assurance to collaborate with the state in ensuring quick and easy purchase of the air crafts.
Purchasing the air crafts he added was basically to drive the state economy and make the college compete with its peers in the world.
Commenting on the allegation from opposition that the 2013 budget proposal by the governor has higher recurrent expenditure than capital expenditure, the governor blamed it on what he called Nigerian factor of running government both on federal and state levels on its revenue.
Kwara being a predominantly civil service state require huge sum except retrenchment which he said is not in the interest of the state.
He advocated for what he called electronic drive in running government whereby those retiring will not be replaced but the work will be done electronically.
