NFA holds clear-the-air meeting with Keshi after Burkina Faso draw

Keshi_prezzerMembers of the Nigeria Football Association (NFA), held a clear-the-air meeting with coach of the Super Eagles, Stephen Keshi, on Tuesday.
The Nigerian team led through an Emmanuel Emenike goal, before Alain Traore smashed in the equaliser in the 94th minute. Keshi was summoned by the football body and told in clear language, that the team must perform better in their next game against Zambia on Friday.
“We have told them to go and make Nigerians proud. We still have confidence in the team but they need to do better in the next game,” President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Aminu Maigari, told MTNFootball.com
“We know this is football and sometimes this kind of results come. But we have told the coach that millions of Nigerians are hoping on this team and we must not fail them.”
Keshi refused to speak to the media after the meeting.
