Flashdance! The moment when the wind blew up this dancer’s dress to the delight of Ryan Seacrest (LOOK)

Alright so, it’s not quite the revealing moment it could’ve been (seeing as though Julianne Hough is wearing a bikini) but it still took her quite by surprise.
The beautiful blonde was shocked to discover that her pretty pink sundress flew up suddenly after being hit by a strong gust of Caribbean wind.
The Flashdance star, then did a flashing dance, to ensure the pink skirt behaved itself.

Thank goodness she was prepared! Julianne Hough must’ve been delighted that she was wearing a bikini when her pink dress was blown up by a gust of wind in St Barts on Friday
Luckily dancer Julianne is used to her skirt flying up, and dealt with it easily… no doubt much to the amusement of her beau Ryan Seacrest.
He has been described as the ‘hardest working man in Hollywood, while she is busy with an increasingly successful acting career.
But Seacrest and girlfriend Hough still managed to find time for a much needed New Year’s break together.
The couple, who have been dating for 18 months, went paddleboarding before hitting the warm ocean on the idyllic Caribbean island of St Barts on Friday.

Julianne, 24, showed off her toned body in a white bikini and wore her blonde hair loose as she struggled to keep up with her boyfriend who took the lead on his board.
Ryan, meanwhile proved he is no slouch in the torso department, sporting a pair of blue swimming shorts which revealed his toned chest.
Following their paddleboarding escapades, the couple took a dip in the ocean for a spot of swimming.

Julianne looked extremely focussed as she navigated her way through the water

Fun in the sun: Julianne showed off her perfectly pert posterior as she paddled through the aqua waters
The loved up pair enjoyed themselves as they both dived into the waves, before bobbing along in the water having a chat.
Things didn’t always go so smoothly for Ryan however, who ended up accidentally slipping into the water when he attempted to disembark from a boat.
After spending time in the sea the couple later enjoyed a slap-up lunch with a group of friends.

So happy: Ryan and Julianne couldn’t stop smiling as they enjoyed a refreshing soak in the sea
Julianne wore a pretty pink sundress for the meal at the Taiwana Restaurant.
The gang were seen enjoying relaxing with a glass of white win as they took in the view from the balcony of the eatery.
Julianne and Ryan are said to be holidaying on the luxurious Fortunate Sun yacht for their sunshine break.
It’s a busy month for the 38-year-old who is fresh from ringing in 2013 on ABC’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with co-host Jenny McCarthy.

The starwill be in his usual position on the red carpet for next weekend’s Golden Globe awards where he will be interviewing all film and TV’s biggest names for the E! network.
He will also be appearing on the premiere of the new season of American Idol on January 16, which features new judges Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj and Keith Urban.
Meanwhile Julianne, who starred in film musical Rock of Ages last year will appear alongside Josh Duhamel in romantic thriller Safe Haven, an adaptation of the Nicholas Sparks novel of the same name.

Small adjustments: Julianne made sure her white bikini was secure after larking about in the sea

Hunk in shorts: Ryan also showed off his toned torso in a pair of blue bathing shorts
Julianne recently revealed the secret to keeping she and Ryan’s 18-month relationship alive.
‘It’s a hard thing to do, especially when you’re so caught up in your work and bettering yourself,’ she told Parade last year. ‘It does get hard because you’re so focused on that, but I think at the end of the day you have to find a balance with what’s really important.’
She also revealed that the couple are really competitive: ”Ryan and I are very alike,’ she said. ‘When we work out with a trainer, we’ll die before we stop, like, to the point where we can’t breathe.’

Slippage: The American Idol host appeared to lose his footing on the way down to the water

Oops! Ryan clings on to the side of the boat as he splashes into the sea
However, despite her svelte figure Julianne recently said she had ‘gained 20 pounds since she began dating Ryan.
‘I’m fortunate. I’m like my mother; I distribute my weight evenly,’ she told Women Web MD.com. ‘I look like I’ve gained five pounds but I’ve actually gained 20.’
However, she has some fail safe methods when it comes to slimming down.

Lap of luxury: The couple are said to be holidaying on the Fortunate Sun Yacht in the tropical island
‘The first thing I do is I cut out alcohol, especially wine, completely. I stop the sugar and white, flour-based carbs,’ she said. ‘I’ll add protein shakes some days; maybe the next day a green shake or drink. I like to mix it up.’
She also ‘works out’ with Ryan or friends and family, who include Dancing with the Stars professional Derek Hough, and enjoys outdoor activities on her days off.
‘I do something activity-based, like a hike or going to the beach or heading to the lake and going wakeboarding,’ she said.

2015: Buhari expresses fears over free, fair polls

2015: Buhari expresses fears over free, fair polls
Former military Head of State and Congress for Progressive Change, CPC, presidential candidate in the 2011 general election, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, has expressed doubts that the 2015 general elections will be free and fair.
He also called for resistance to the rigging plot of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, warning that any attempt to tamper with the electoral process would be catastrophic.
Buhari said this yesterday in his country home, in Daura, Katsina State, during the launching of an empowerment scheme programme organised by Senator Hadi Sirika (CPC, Katsina North) for the 12 council areas in the senatorial zone.
Speaking in Hausa, the three-time presidential candidate however called on Nigerians and CPC members to “work at ensuring free and fair elections, but that if some people would not allow for such to happen, then everyone should forget the entire process.”
Buhari warned that failure to ensure free, fair and peaceful elections in 2015 could have negative outcomes for everyone, including the ruling PDP.
He said that in 2003, 2007 and 2011, he and his party had gone to court to fight alleged injustices perpetrated by the ruling party which led to the PDP winning the presidential elections.
According to him: “We went to court in 2003, in 2007 and the party went to court in 2011. I want us to be ready that in 2015, you should elect those to represent you and those that would lead you; anyone that tries to come in-between is on his own.”
He alleged that the PDP had cheated him and his party in past elections, especially in Adamawa, Sokoto and Kogi among other states, and that this showed the PDP was not out to ensure fairness in electoral contests.
“You know in 2003 that we went to court, we spent about 30 months in various courts but we were told that we did not win the election. In 2007 it was the same, and in 2011 also.
“The past elections in some states like Kogi, Adamawa, Sokoto and other areas were not free and fair polls.”
Buhari maintained that since PDP would not allow for fairness in elections, Nigerians and CPC members in particular should adopt what electorate did in Igabi, Kaduna State, where they struggled to protect their votes and ensure free and fair election.
He noted that PDP’s actions had confirmed that “they are not ready to ensure fairness; and since they would not ensure fairness, that is why we said, like what people in Igabi did in Kaduna State, when there was to be an election, they readied and worked sweat and blood to protect their votes.
“If you want to have good people that would represent you and lead you, then it is compulsory that you do what Igabi people did. Therefore, I give the order that what is done in Igabi should be copied in all the wards across the country.”
He, however, said that the CPC and many people who hate injustice would work to ensure that what happened in previous elections does not repeat itself in 2015.
The retired general called on CPC members to, “elect competent people that would lead and rule you”, and not corrupt people that are insensitive to the plight of those they rule.
“If, however, you are comfortable with servitude, then go and continue living as servants. I will always work to ensure that schools, hospitals, good roads and other infrastructure are available for you from our party’s public office holders.”
Senator Sirika said that Buhari would contest the 2015 general election despite reports to the contrary.
Sirika said the former Head of State had said he would not contest, but several Nigerians, especially within the CPC, wanted him to do so, and that he and other people with similar interest would work to see that Buhari contests the presidential election.
He said Nigerians were tired of those that could not take the country out of its present poverty, unemployment and state of insecurity and were desirous for a change.
“Such change is what the CPC and Buhari can bring to the country should he become president,” and that Nigerians should not relent in labouring to ensure they “are led by corrupt-free and trust worthy leaders.”

AFCON 2013: Keshi drops 4 players, 4 more to go on Tuesday

Rabiu Ibrahim
Godwin Enakhena, a respected sports analyst, has revealed that Stephen Keshi has dropped four players from the Super Eagles’ Faro Camp in Portugal.
Rabiu Ibrahim, who just sealed a move to Kilmarnock, Papa Idris, Henry Uche and the injured Uche Kalu, are the quartet that will not be going to South Africa 2013.
Ebakhena, was particularly shoched about Ibrahim’s exclusion, as according to him, “he was outstanding, a true replica of Okocha.” He however conceded that “we have better players in the midfield.”
According to him, four more players will be dropped on Tuesday, when Keshi is expected to name his final squad to the Africa Nations Cup.
“Everything is good in camp, all players are in good spirit. The four players dropped took it in good faith because of the way coach did it,” the team’s spokesperson, Ben Alaiya. “The way Keshi broke the news to the players was superb, he called the players affected aside after dinner, talked to them and told them they won’t be going to the AFCON but could still make it another time.
“We have 27 players in camp now and four more will be dropped tomorrow (Tuesday).
“Rabiu was outstanding and was a true replica of ‘Jay Jay’ Okocha if you see him at training, the look, the style of play, but there are lot of better players in the midfield, so he has to go.
“Henry Uche has a future in the team, while I feel sorry for Uche Kalu as he was involved in all the qualifiers but the injury knocked him out.”

Katsina Gov’s Wife Orders Sack Of LG Staff

fatima shema 300x263 Katsina Gov’s Wife Orders Sack Of LG Staff

Wife of Katsina State governor, Hajiya Fatima Ibrahim Shema, has ordered the sack of the supervisory councillor for water and sanitation in Matazu local government area of the state, Hajiya Hadiza Ibrahim.
Mrs Shema reportedly gave the directive to sack Hajiya Hadiza Ibrahim, the only female councillor at the Matazu local government transition management committee through a letter of “termination of appointment” dated 27th December, 2012.
Part of the letter which was signed by Bala Lawal Yaro, a staff officer at Matazu local government reads “I am directed by the Office of Her Excellency, Hajiya Dr Fatima Ibrahim Shehu Shema, to issue you this letter of termination in view of your unkindly like misconduct and behaviour.”
LEADERSHIP reports that the sacked councillor and the wife of Matazu local government council transition management committee chairman had recently engaged each other in a free-for-all scuffle at the council secretariat.
It was gathered that squabble ensued between the duo when the chairman’s wife allegedly slapped the sacked councillor at the office of the LG’s director of administration during a meeting to resolve some grievances.
Some local government staff in the state who spoke to our correspondent on the condition of anonymity faulted the councilor’s sack insisting that there was procedural error since the directive emanated from the first lady.
When contacted, the chief press secretary to the first lady, Mallam Abdulazeez confirmed that the directive to sack the councillor emanated from the first lady noting “yes the letter emanated from the first lady’s office.”

Actress, Patience Ozokwor At Loggerheads With Ibinabo Fiberesima Over AGN Presidency

Nollywood star actress Patience Ozokwor a.k.a Mama G, according to report, has formed a parallel actors Guild in Asaba, Delta State due to an alleged rigging and ‘politrick’ applied in the last election that produced Ibinabo Fiberesima.
patience[1]
The report is that Mama G may be working in company of prominent Ibo stakeholders in the movie industry who are supposed supporters of the defeated AGN Presidential candidate, Emeka Rollas.
According to our reliable source, the popular actress is not happy over the outcome of the recent AGN election that produced the Guild`s first female president and AGN`s 7th President, Ibinabo Fiberisima. She is said to have started soliciting membership for her new Guild.
“I don’t want to say anything about that election. Elections that I and others were not carried along. What election was that?” When the issue of the newly formed Guild was pushed further, she angrily replied, “Do not ask me such a question. I do not talk with journalist on phone. I do not know what you are talking about. If you want my answer you must look for me to question,” these were her words when she was being asked to comment on the last elections.
Meanwhile the Vice Chairman of the AGN Board of Trustees, Emma Ogugua has called Mama G`s action a bluff that would be dealt with at the appropriate time. The BOT VP in an SMS to Mama G,
“Madam, am shocked your name was mentioned among those forming a new AGN guild in Asaba. How people forget history very quick. I still remember when I came to screen you for membership of AGN in Enugu and how you told me ‘dem no dey give us role’. To you AGN has failed you, let me ask, when did you pay your dues last or send in a memo to help leaders of AGN.
We have repeatedly intervened in your issues and problem to save your name. You are collecting signature because a non-Ibo won AGN presidency.
My honest advice, do not let them ruin your name. AGN will protect itself from internal and external tribalism attempt. Even Emeka Ike has cool down. Why did you not contest so you can show the world how to lead a union? Well thanks but we will not break AGN into tribal lines.
Soon now you will get national award, yet tribalism runs in you. Yours Emma Ogugua.”

Trouble in PDP as govs tackle Tukur

*Accuse Tukur of dictatorship, courting party’s enemies
*Plan to dissolve party’s NWC; national officers panic
By Emmanuel Aziken & Henry Umoru
LAGOS—Trouble is looming in the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, as governors on the party’s ticket are rallying for a showdown with the National Chairman of the party, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur over his alleged unsavoury attitude towards them.
The hard stance of the governors, it was learnt, had last night sent some members of the National Working Committee, NWC, of the party into a  panic mode, following agitation by the governors for the dissolution of the body.
“There is trouble,” one senior party official said yesterday evening in between trouble-shooting meetings, one of several held in the federal capital yesterday.
The governors, Vanguard learnt, yesterday were mobilizing to convene a meeting of the National Executive Committee, NEC of the party which is expected to reverse some of the actions of the NWC, particularly as it affects Adamawa State.
PDP Chairman, Bamanga Tukur .
PDP Chairman, Bamanga Tukur .
Yesterday, Governor Sule Lamido who heads the committee instituted by President Goodluck Jonathan to resolve the Adamawa crisis, met with some members of the committee including Governor Theodore Orji during where issues affecting Adamawa were reviewed.
Govs to use NEC against NWC
The governors who nominated most of the members of the NEC are now poised to use the body to reverse the actions of the NWC concerning Adamawa. Besides, the governors are also threatening to mobilize the NEC to convene a special convention of the party for the singular purpose of dissolving the NWC.
It was as such not surprising that the hitherto unanimous support Tukur was getting from NWC in his battle with Governor Murtala Nyako has dwindled  as the NWC members moved to save their necks. A number of the NWC members, yesterday, had sent emissaries to the seething governors on their readiness to soft pedal.
The grouse of the governors flowed from the dissolution of the Adamawa State executive of the party on the instruction of the NWC led by the national chairman, Tukur.  Tukur is from Adamawa State and until his election, he did not have much say in the affairs of the party in his state as the whole party structure was controlled by Governor Nyako.
However, following his election last March, Tukur moved to strengthen his hands in the state with the dissolution of the state executive of the party. The NWC said the reason for the move was that the state chairman, Alhaji Umaru Mijinyawa Kugama had overstayed his tenure and was from the same senatorial district as Governor Nyako.
The dissolution of the state executive was, however, opposed by the governors who alleged, among others, that it would inspire anarchy and lead to a situation where NWC members at the least provocation would dissolve state executives of the party. The state executives of the party are in almost all cases loyal to the governors and the decision against the Adamawa State chapter was seen as something that, if not checked, could in future affect all of them.
Yesterday, the same fear was expressed at the meeting of the governors in Abuja.
The governors at the instance of President Goodluck Jonathan, had agreed to the establishment of the Lamido committee as a soft landing for Tukur. The expectation, it was learnt, was that Tukur would use the report of the Lamido committee as the basis for reversing the dissolution of the Adamawa executive. However, to the chagrin of the governors, Tukur using the NWC forged ahead with the fresh congresses in Adamawa State last month with the aim of putting the state executive out of the control of Governor Murtala Nyako.
Besides sacking the Adamawa executive, Tukur is being accused of dictatorship following the suspension from office of the National Vice-Chairman, North-East, Alhaji Girigiri Lawal by the NWC on the allegation of not collaborating with the National Chairman’s agenda to weaken Nyako in Adamawa.
Tukur is also being accused of hobnobbing with the party’s local enemies in Adamawa State for the purpose of humbling Governor Nyako. It is claimed that supporters of the Congress for Progressive Change, CPC candidate in the last Adamawa State gubernatorial election, Gen. Buba Marwa (rtd.) had been integrated into the structure of the PDP faction sympathetic to Tukur in Adamawa State drawing concerns from Nyako’s loyalists.

Fire guts INEC headquarters

By JOSEPH ERUNKE, EMMANUEL ELEBEKE & JOHNBOSCO AGBAKWURU
ABUJA -  Fire razed a section of Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC’s headquarters in Abuja, Monday, causing pandemonium around the Maitama area of the Federal Capital Territory, as staff of the commission ran to different directions for safety.
The incident came barely 18 months after a similar one occurred in the office of the commission’s chairman, Professor Attahiru Jega, causing destruction on the visitors’ room as well as some computer sections.
Vanguard gathered that the fire which started in the Voter Registry Department of the Commission may have been caused by electrical fault.
The raging fire.
The raging fire.
But unlike the previous one, the latest fire did not cause much damage as the men of the Federal Fire Service and the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, were on hand to contend the situation.
The fire which lasted for about 30 minutes was said to have started at about 9:00 am in the morning and ended around 9:30am.
Speaking to Journalists at the scene of the incident, the Director of Information Communication Technology, ICT, of the commission, Engineer Chidi Nwafor,  no vital document of the commission was affected.
Nwafor said, “There was a fire incident this morning. Between 9:12am  to 9:30am we started perceiving odour like a burnt odour, so what we did was to look for the place. It was in the department they call voter registry.
“Most of us that were around that time had to use the normal fire extinguisher to try to stop the fire and at the same time we called the fire service and the fire service came, when the fire service came the NEMA came, as I am talking to you now the fire has been quenched so no more fire now. It was only one office that was affected,” he stated.
After the fire...
After the fire…
The ICT Director, who said that only office equipment was damaged, however said that the cause of the fire outbreak was yet to be established and that preliminary investigations were ongoing to unravel the cause.
