Nuella Njubigbo responds to reports she’s dating a South-South Governor

Nuella 5 Nuella Njubigbo responds to reports shes dating a South South Governor

This is a press statement from actress Nuella Njubigbo’s publicist reacting to a recent report by Stella Dimoko Korkus about Nuella Njubigbo being in a hot romance with a South-South governor. See it below….
Few days ago a report surfaced online that our client, Nuella Njubigbo is in a sizzling romance with a South-South governor, who bought her the 2012 Toyota Highlander SUV that was recently reported. We would have ignored this but seeing that it came from the same writer who had ’supposedly broken’ the news of Nuella Njubigbo’s ‘romantic dalliances’ with two other men in the last eight months; hence we chose otherwise.
Firstly, our client has never met with the said governor. How can you travel with and ‘romance’ someone you have never met? This kind of magic can only happen in the writer’s concoctions of lies.
The writer also claimed Nuella Njubigbo couldn’t have been able to buy the car in many years even if she saves rigorously. This is really laughable. It is a known fact that Nuella Njubigbo is one of the busiest actors in Asaba and Enugu, the nerve-centers of present-day Nollywood. For someone whose fee is over N500 000 (Five Hundred Thousand Naira)per movie, how impossible is it for her to buy the N8 million car the writer erroneously quoted?
And isn’t it ridiculous that we naturally come to the conclusion that men must always be behind the good fortune of every successful women in this part of the world? Women are not dummies; they have what it takes to succeed without warming the bed of any man or politician for that matter. Women at the top did not achieve prominence by crooked means. Hardwork pays. Simple!
It was this same writer who reported Nuella Njubigbo was pregnant recently. After realizing the absurdity of her lie, she claimed it was a ’brief pregnancy’. Whatever that meant, she alone can explain.
She also claimed that Nuella Njubigbo rented an apartment in Enugu to live with a certain movie director. Several months after, she has not been able to prove her story as Nuella still lives in Lagos.
Recently, she wrote that Nuella Njubigbo was in a hot romance with a Nigerian professional footballer based in Russia. Now, it is a South-South governor and all these happened within the space of eight months.
The writer should be bold enough to say publicly what axe she has to grind with Nuella Njubigbo rather than hide behind the noble profession of  journalism to execute her cheap hatchet job. An open declaration of her true intentions will probably confer on her some measure of respect which she desperately needs to salvage her dwindling career fortunes. Journalism is not for rumour mongers. We know it is her stock in trade to blackmail rising stars and ‘A-listers’ who are mostly her friends until they come and pay ‘homage’. We won’t be blackmailed under any circumstance.
We await her next line of action with full assurance that the subsequent set of lies will not go without legal response from our esteemed client.

Sunny Ade Says He Advised His Guitarist Against Cocaine Business

Sunny Ade Sunny Ade Says He Advised His Guitarist Against Cocaine Business

It would be recall that a year ago, Juju maestro, King Sunny Ade (KSA) told Nigerians that he was born again and since then, he has been seen romancing the Redeemed Christian Church of God being the church which led him to Christ.
In this chat brief with Olayinka Latona, the music legend spoke on various issues including the recent arrest of his former guitarist over drug trafficking. Excerpt:
What is your New Year resolution?
Sunny Ade: I want to praise the Lord for the rest of my life. I am leaving everything in the hands of the Lord because He knows my heart desire. I know what He wants from me as His son. Sometimes, as human, we think, pray, plan and wait for the result but it is God who perfected all things. One of your ex-guitarists was recently arrested in connection with drug trafficking. In his defense, he blamed his action on his retirement from your band?
Sunny Ade: He is an ex-member of my group who was retired almost five years ago. I don’t deal with anybody who doesn’t believe in God. I tried my best in advising all members of my group against getting involve in hard drugs.I told them to see me as their leader and shun doing anything that is capable of tarnishing their image. I didn’t pray for anything evil to happen to him but I know his conscience will be troubled now.It has been predicted that there would be massive death among Nigerian artistes this year because of their involvement in secret cults?
Sunny Ade: I rebuke that prediction in the name of Jesus Christ. I believe there is nothing prayer cannot change. We had a very rough and difficult year in 2012. But I believe in the power of prayer and if we can pray sincerely, God will in His infinite mercies protect and preserve your lives. Whatever that has been prophecised against the artistes this year can be averted only if the artistes themselves are prayerful. What’s the secret of your evergreen music. Do you think the present day musicians are leaving up to your expectation?
Sunny Ade: My secret has been the grace of God and the talent He gave to me. There is still genuine and promising musicians in Nigeria. What I think should be done and which I have always spoken against is the idea of venturing into music because of the material gains. We may have made one or two mistakes while growing up, but such mistakes can be corrected. Before composing any songs, we should asked ourselves can we play such song in the presence of our children or grand children while at home and we will not be ashamed of doing so.What’s the relationship between King Sunny Ade and the Redeemed Christian Church of God?
Sunny Ade: This is the beginning of a new era for me. KSA and RCCG are partners in progress in the work of God. RCCG has a lot to do in my life, I want the whole world to know that, and I am proud to be a member of the church. I have been thanking God and I will continue to do so. In my compound in Ondo State, I named the chapel there after the RCCG headquarters name which is Throne of Grace; you can see God is really in love with me.Advice to the upcoming artistes?
Sunny Ade: I always advised them to have the fear of God in them which is paramount. This is because without the fear of God in you, there will not be wisdom. The fear of God, they say, is the beginning of wisdom. The secret of your youthful look?
Sunny Ade: It is the grace of God and I try to eat balance diet.

Janet Jackson to receive $500m if she stays married for at least 5 yrs

Janet Jackson Engaged 300x264 Janet Jackson to receive $500m if she stays married for at least 5 yrs

According to new reports Janet Jackson, 46, stands to receive $500 million if she stays married to her billionaire fiance, Wissam Al Manna, 37, for a minimum of five years.
Janet Jackson did not put off her New Year’s Eve wedding because of cold feet but because of cold cash, a friend has revealed.
The singer was due to marry Arab multi-billionaire Wissam Al Mana but their lawyers could not organise the prenuptial agreement in time.
This is no small matter as twice-married Janet Jackson has amassed a fortune of £93.5million from 10 hit albums and six major tours while Wissam is one of the richest investors in the Middle East where he represents such fashion and style icons as Hermes and Sonia Rykiel. He is also a major shareholder in Saks Fifth Avenue stores in Dubai, Doha, Bahrain and Kuwait.
“Janet Jackson will be marrying into the sort of wealth not even her brother Michael managed to amass during his lifetime of success,” said her friend. “She’s looking forward to a fairytale life with Wissam.”
Should the fairytale turn sour then the agreement still being worked on is reported to guarantee Janet, 46, a “kiss-off” of half-a-billion dollars (around £312.14million) if they divorce after a minimum of five years.

“Keshi should have invited Osaze and Martins, Nigeria will not win the Nations Cup” – Akanni

By

As the Super Eagles continue to prepare for the Africa Nations Cup holding in South Africa this month, an ex-international Waidi Akanni, has said the team will not win the competition.
Akanni was reacting to the below par performance by Stephen Keshi’s men, in the goalless draw against Cape Verde. In his opinion, the tiny African country exposed the Eagles’ frailties and showed how unprepared they are.
“Technically speaking, I believe we have a squad but not a team yet,” Akanni told Vanguard Sports. “The performance of the team against Cape Verde only justified the belief by some of us that Nigeria was not going to be represented by her best players,” he said.
He also slammed Keshi for not inviting players like Osaze Odemwingie, Obafemi Martins, Obinna Nsofor, etc to be part of his squad to Nations Cup.
“Personally, I was not comfortable with the exclusion of players like Osaze, Martins, Obinna Nsofor among others when he announced the preliminary list.”
“He should have given them the chance to prove their worth. Even Niyi Adeleye whom everybody is saying would take over from Yobo was ignored.
“I don’t see them winning the trophy. May be, in a future edition, definitely, not this,” he said.

Hauwa Gambo: There was a president, and his name was Olusegun

by Hauwa Gambo

Whatever good this man accumulated in his time in office, he wasted and squandered towards the end of his legitimate term. He became entitled and foolish, a bull in a china shop, suddenly convinced about his own inevitability and immortality, even perfection. By the time he began to dance naked in the public in search of a third term, it wasn’t a pretty end.
Apparently, former president Olusegun Obasanjo is on a roll.
Anywhere he turns, just as long as there is a microphone standing nearby or a camera positioned close, the man who believes he was the world’s most awesome president is ready with an open, even drooling, mouth – to share his latest thoughts on what exactly one of his successors in office has done wrong; which is, apparently, everything.
This is the thing: unlike many Nigerians, I do actually agree that Obasanjo was a fine president – any man who had a clear sense of what he wanted to do for his country, whether it was popular or not, and set about achieving that with conviction, strategy and strength of character (whether likeable or not) counts in my books as a fine leader.
This is the other thing: President Goodluck Jonathan deserves to be criticised on almost every issue that is important to our nation as present, seeing as you can hardly find a man alive who is satisfied with Jonathan’s performance.
[Read: 'Corruption: Jonathan is not doing enough - Obasanjo' HERE)
Here is the problem: Obasanjo is, please excuse me, a royal mess.
Whatever good this man accumulated in his time in office, he wasted and squandered towards the end of his legitimate term. He became entitled and - let's be honest - foolish; a bull in a china shop, suddenly convinced about his own inevitability and immortality, even perfection. By the time he began to dance naked in the public in search of a third term, it wasn’t a pretty end.
So it happened that while South Africa is blessed with a man who unified the country, put it on the track of growth and expansion, strengthen its democracy, built its institutions restored its place in the world, stepped away after one term and emerged as possibly the most revered man alive, Obasanjo left office in a whimper – diminished, disrespected and routinely demonised by the very same people he made popular through  his government.
As if that were not bad enough, he imposed on Nigerians a sick president, and an even weaker vice-president. The reason for that is now publicly documented. “Nothing will change, you know,” Nasir el-Rufai’s new book reportedly says Obasanjo told him. “I will be in Ota but we will be running things. Everything will remain the same, you know. Nothing will change. Only I will move to Ota and Yar’Adua will be here but we will be running things.”
The arrogance, and wrong-headedness of this terrible statement should be debated by students of political science for the next few years.
But for now, it is because of this that one must treat Obasanjo’s latest homilies with scorn. They are not motivated by any nobility, for Obasanjo is not a noble man. They are also not driven by honesty, for Obasanjo has never been a honest man.
He speaks not out of a place of concern for Nigeria or Nigerians, or because he is indeed ready to be part of the effort to clean up this mess; it is out of rage that the man in power at present is no longer his puppy.
By God, seriously, how does Obasanjo, whose abuse of office is visible to everyone through a series of financial investments that could not have come out of a honest days work accuse anyone of a failure to tackle corruption?
Unfortunately, thanks to a feckless Jonathan, Iyabo’s father has the capacity to shine as a leader who actually knew what he was doing: internationally he is still the most sought-after African for quixotic peace missions and election monitoring; locally he continues to be a force field in local Ogun politics, and universally he is a desired fixture on the speaking circuit.
It is understandable why he has become this loose cannon – he must feel on top of the world at the moment.
Which is a tragedy.
It is a shame that rather than be a force for good in his old age, Obasanjo continues to cause confusion, disharmony and retardation in his endless pursuit of self-preservation – like a tribal chief with his head permanently up his own behind.
The fact that this man is actually the ‘best’ president Nigeria has ever had is a fact that makes me terribly ashamed. It makes me terribly ashamed indeed.

‘He Was A Dad To A Lot Of Us’ Nollywood Actors Sing Tribute To Enebeli Elebuwa

Last night at the Artiste-Candle Night held for the the late Enebeli Elebuwa, NET reporters got talking with a number of Nollywood actors who spoke about their relationship and experience with the late actor.
photo
Here is what they had to say.
RITA DOMINIC
Yet again, we have lost an icon in the industry. He will not be forgotten.
IBINABO FIBERESIMA
For those that were privileged to have met him, he impacted positively on their lives. He was fatherly and a professional in every sense of the word.  He was a colossus in the industry and we know he rests in the bosom of our Lord.
YAW
I have known him for sometime now. Two years ago, he wanted me to help him promote his song on radio. He asked me to listen to the song and tell him what I think about the song which I actually did and gave him my comments. He promised to go back to the studio, work on it and get back to me. That was just before he became ill.
The few times I spent with him, I remember him always telling me how he had worked so much in the industry and how he had given his life to Christ, and asking me to do the same too if I haven’t done that yet.
HALIMAR ABUBAKAR
He was not only a senior colleague but a dad to a lot of us. He was a father-figure. Someone that loves to give advice a lot. He was very funny and always made sure that everyone was comfortable. I’m sure we will miss him a lot.
CHARLES NOVIA
When I was with NTA, he was a mentor to me. I learnt quite a lot from him. I learnt how to do scripts up to the seventh graft. He was really a hard man to please when it came to getting the right scripts. He could tear down a script apart and tell you how it really should be.
I was now privileged later, when he had left NTA, to direct him in one of my movies, ‘Heart and Soul’. He is surely going to be missed.
UCHE JOMBO
He was a great actor to work with. He was a team player, being that he not only looked out for his own interests, but he cared about the entire production. I think he was a born-director even though he chose to act more. I worked with him severally and he never failed to show his professionalism.
STEPHANIE OKEREKE
Uncle Enebeli was a veteran in the industry. He was loved by everyone, both young and old. I’m happy to be here in his honour. We will surely miss him.
MONALISA CHINDA
I must say that his death is such a loss to the Nollywood industry. Uncle Enebeli as we fondly called him, will be missed by the entire industry.
VICTOR OSUAGWU
We are going to miss a lot of things about him; his personality and his fatherly advice mostly. He was so mebody that when you meet him, he gives you advice that will help you grow in the industry.
RICHARD MOFE DAMIJO
He was a very humble man. We did about three movies together. I think, over and above everything else, it was the conversations that I had with him before he died. Two days before he died, we spoke.
We were planning what he would do when he gets back home. It’s so unfortunate that he is no more with us.
DESMOND ELLIOT
He was a very cheerful man. He was just an awesome person. God gives, God takes. I wish the situation was a lot better or he had left when the industry was way better. We thank God for his life.
PRINCESS ANNE INYANG
He was a very good actor, very humourous at that too. I have fun memories of him as a young person when he did ‘Andrew wan check-out’. When he died in India, the first thing that came to my mind was, oh my God, he should have come back to ‘check out’ here. God knows our end from our beginnings, so I just want to thank God that he came in, played his part and he has finally taken a bow.
DEJUMO LEWIS
I used to always love to have a chat with him. The man had the most philosophical views about life.
PROFESSOR LINKIN
As a kid, I remember him as Andrew from the television commercial. I eventually met Uncle Enebeli for the first time about two years ago. He was the kind of man that was always full of advice.
OKEY BAKASSI
He was an inspiration to a lot of us that came to the industry much later. I remember in my first movie, ‘Journey to Hell’, much of the time I was busy admiring him and being grateful to be working with a veteran. His work ethics was excellent.
MAHMOUD BALOGUN
Enebeli Elebuwa was a man I ascribe the most utmost respect.  A lot of people may not know that he gave me my first movie role. Yes, he did, and we have been friends ever since.
ZACK ORJI
I wish we were meeting here under a very different circumstance, like maybe, celebrating him for winning an award or being honoured for a cause.
JUSTUS ESIRI
He is a man that I have known for decades and we have worked in different capacities in that period of time. I know him to be very humble, down-to-earth and always committed to his work and family.
CHARLES OKAFOR
As a young man in secondary school, I was opportuned to meet him during a production I had gone to watch then. He encouraged my school mates and I then.
When I grew up and got into Nollywood, we met again and I reminded him of our first meeting years back. He gave me a hug and we became very good friends ever since.
I take solace in the fact that the talent that God gave him was put into perfect use.
