New PDP Governors Finally Set To Dump Jonathan For The APC

While they were having “peace meetings” with President Goodluck Jonathan in Aso Rock, the president was, in a clandestine move, encouraging agencies of government under the Presidency to go after the 7 governors who belong to the New PDP and their supporters.

Consequently the New PDP governors have decided to take their destinies into their hands. It’s now obvious that the peace move have hit a brick wall. OluFamous.Com gathered that the Governors have met and they are now ready to go out of the PDP and accept the “warm embrace of the APC.”

A hint to this effect emerged during the Sallah holiday when Adamawa State Governor, Murtala Nyako, told a visiting APC delegation on Wednesday, that himself and the six other aggrieved New PDP governors, are being victimized in the PDP and are ready to leave. Other aggrieved governors are Sule Lamido (Jigawa); Rabiu Kwakwanso (Kano); Rotimi Amaechi (Rivers); Babangida Aliyu (Niger); Abdulfatah Ahmed (Kwara); and Aliyu Wamakko (Sokoto).
The National Vice-Chairman North-East of the APC, Umar Duhu, who led the delegation to the government residence in Yola, offered Nyako a piece of kola nut and an invitation in accordance with the northern tradition.
The Director of Press to Governor Nyako, Ahmad Sajo, said:
“The governor told them he is committed to supporting them; he admires all the APC governors for the way they are focused in their performance. He abhors the injustice and impunity that are going on in the PDP and he also frowns on the fact that someone would emerge as the party’s candidate at the local level and the PDP will change the name of the person in Abuja and submit a different person’s name.” “These are the reasons (injustice and impunity) why we may have to dump the PDP, if they will not change their ways. We may definitely be pushed to the warm embrace of the APC.”
When Amaechi and other G-7 governors join APC, the PDP will become an opposition party in Nigeria as the APC will be in control of a minimum of 18 states, while the PDP will have just about 15 states.

Meet the Nigerian woman who runs ‘Harvard University’ from a flat in the UK

Lol. What won’t we hear? So a Nigerian woman named Rev Dr Tina Beloveth Powerful, who runs a ‘Havard University’ from a flat in Milton Keynes, is being sued by American Havard University over trademark infringement. Dr Powerful’s business school, founded in 2010, is called Havard School of Management and Technology and is being run from a city center flat in North Third Street in CMK.
The Milton Keynes Trading Standards department and the UK police are currently investigating Dr Powerful and the school. The MKTS department recently revealed that the UK Harvard school does not have accreditation for courses it claims to run.
The school claims to offer a number of higher education courses in business, computing, law, management, and Bible Studies and also claims the awarding body for its Diploma & Advanced Diploma in Administrative Management is The Institute of Administrative Management (IAM) but IAM has denied this, saying the school has not been accredited by them. And since it’s s a privately-run school, it needs to be accredited or it will be in breach of trading standards.
Meanwhile Dr. Beloveth Powerful insists she has not done anything wrong, claiming she’s on a “mission from God to help people study.”

“I have six degrees myself, two of them from Nigeria where I came from. I transformed my life and God has given me power to transform others. We are about to be accredited. We are in the process, making procedures, taking practical steps. Just because they haven’t heard of me today, does not mean they won’t hear of me tomorrow.”

Testicular Cancer: Symptoms, Causes, Treatments And Prevention

images (1)Testicular cancer occurs in the testicles (testes), which are located inside the scrotum, a loose bag of skin underneath the man-hood. The testicles produce male s*x hormones and sperm for reproduction.
Testicular cancer is highly treatable, even when cancer has spread beyond the testicle. Depending on the type and stage of testicular cancer, you may receive one of several treatments, or a combination. Regular testicular self-examinations can help identify growths early, when the chance for successful treatment of testicular cancer is highest.
Symptoms-
Signs and symptoms of testicular cancer include:
A lump or enlargement in either testicle
A feeling of heaviness in the scrotum
A dull ache in the abdomen or groin
A sudden collection of fluid in the scrotum
Pain or discomfort in a testicle or the scrotum
Enlargement or tenderness of the br**sts
Cancer usually affects only one testicle.
Causes-
It’s not clear what causes testicular cancer in most cases. Doctors know that testicular cancer occurs when healthy cells in a testicle become altered. Healthy cells grow and divide in an orderly way to keep your body functioning normally. But sometimes some cells develop abnormalities, causing this growth to get out of control — these cancer cells continue dividing even when new cells aren’t needed. The accumulating cells form a mass in the testicle.
Nearly all testicular cancers begin in the germ cells — the cells in the testicles that produce immature sperm. What causes germ cells to become abnormal and develop into cancer isn’t known.
Complication-
The options for treating your testicular cancer depend on several factors, including the type and stage of cancer, your overall health, and your own preferences. Treatment options may include:
Surgery-
Surgery to remove your testicle (radical inguinal orchiectomy) is the primary treatment for nearly all stages and types of testicular cancer. To remove your testicle, your surgeon makes an incision in your groin and extracts the entire testicle through the opening. A prosthetic, saline-filled testicle can be inserted if you choose. You’ll receive anesthetics during surgery. All surgical procedures carry a risk of pain, bleeding and infection.
Chemotherapy
Radiation therapy
Prevention-
There’s no way to prevent testicular cancer. Some doctors recommend regular testicle self-examinations to identify testicular cancer at its earliest stage. Not all doctors agree, though, so discuss testicular self-examination with your doctor if you’re unsure about whether it’s right for you.

Prison Transfer Deal May See Ibori, Other Prisoners In UK Repatriated To Complete Jail Terms In Nigeria

James IboriAs part of a prisoner transfer deal between the British and Nigerian government, former Delta State governor, James Onanefe Ibori, who is currently serving a jail term in Britain, might be among Nigerian prisoners scheduled to be transferred to Nigerian prisons to complete their jail terms according to a report by a British newspaper.
According to Mail Online, a British online newspaper, the United Kingdom prisons minister, Jeremy Wright said talks are in progress with the various governments including Nigeria on prisoner transfer deals.
If the deal pulls through, according to Wright, more than half of the 534 prisoners from Nigeria currently in UK jails will be repatriated to Nigerian prisons.
It would be recalled that Britain had earlier promised to fund the construction of new prisons in some countries including Nigeria for the prisoner transfer deal just as the deal will see the country collecting £1 million for the upgrade of some of its prisons including the Kirikiri prison in Lagos and others across the country.

Triplets Graduate Top Of Their Class From Norfolk University

Graduating magna c*m laude is a fete worth celebrating all its own, but what about when three sisters do it at the same damn time?! That’s exactly what happened with these impressive triplets, Bre’Andria, Cre’Andria and Dre’Andria Thompson! These beautiful look-alikes graduated top of their class with BS degrees in Chemistry from Norfolk State University’s Dozoretz National Institute for Mathematics and Applied Sciences.
Dr. Aliecia McClain, DNIMAS program director, has watched the sisters grow. “Upon their arrival at NSU it was very difficult to tell them apart. Because we could not identify them by their names, we identified them as a group even though they were completely different individuals,” she said. “They have grown into individuals proving to others and themselves that they are worthy of the distinction of being called Dozoretz Scholars.”
The ladies are over-the-moon about their accomplishment, “Thanks to God and the supportive faculty and students here, I have surpassed challenges that I never thought I would overcome,” said Dre’.
Bre’ says, “My professors and my courses have allowed me to think critically and apply the concepts I have learned to the world around me.”
“They have equipped me with an educational foundation that will allow me to be a competitive candidate for graduate or professional school anywhere,” said Cre’.

British police raid during scam Nigerian wedding

The British Home Office immigration officers have swooped on a scam wedding ceremony organised by a Nigerian man and a Portuguese lady, which was held at a registry office in Harrow, North London.
The man, 32, has now been sent back to Nigeria, and the woman, 22, is on bail until November 7. UK immigration officers said the woman may have married for cash on three separate occasions, Sky News reported yesterday.
Police interrupted the marriage in front of guests and took the bride and groom for questioning separately. It emerged that they knew little about each other and that the man was working in the UK illegally.
Harrow Council leader Susan Hall said: ‘It is appalling to see the lengths some people go to in dressing up and organizing guests for a sham marriage. “A marriage is supposed to be the happiest day in your life.
Well, in this case, the couple certainly got a day they won’t forget.” It is reported that up to one in five marriages conducted in civil ceremonies in parts of UK may be bogus, one of Britain’s most senior registrars has warned.
In an interview with Sky News, Mark Rimmer, the chairman of the Local Registration Services Association, said 20% of weddings in urban areas were suspicious – the worst it has ever been. Home Office figures show the number of reported cases has tripled in the last three years to 1,800.
But Rimmer said the number of sham marriages – which were likely an attempt to gain residence in the UK – reported to the authorities was “the tip of the iceberg” and that official figures are a “drop in the ocean” compared with the full scale of the problem.
He said the issue is now worse than in 2004 when the first legislation to combat the phenomenon was introduced and that registrars have to conduct ceremonies they suspect to be bogus “through gritted teeth”.
“We have seen huge increases in potential sham marriages presenting themselves to us, we now have more reports from registrars going to the Home Office, but I think that is the tip of a very large iceberg, and effectively the real scale of the problem is far greater than that that is reported to the Home Office officially.
“Most registration officers are not immigration officers, they came into this business to facilitate marriage. So therefore they don’t want to be cynical.
“Unfortunately therefore what happens is the ones that are absolutely blatant get reported and there are some that are borderline that slip through without being reported – and that is the iceberg under the water and that’s huge – it is absolutely huge.
Rimmer suggested that overall 15,000 of the 173,000 civil weddings that take place each year in England and Wales could be bogus – almost 10 times the official level.
