The Chelsea player scored twice from the spot, to ensure Nigeria finished second in Group C behind Burkina Faso and will now square up against Cote d’Ivoire on Sunday.
“Everyone expects us to lose this match, but as players we just put our heads down and come Sunday we will cause a little upset,” the AFCON debutant said.
“They have got quality players like Didier Drogba, one of the best strikers in Africa, even in Europe. But as a team we will concentrate on our own strengths.
“It won’t be as easy game, but we will try our best and win.”
Moses also insisted the team was not concerned by the favourites tag the Ivorians have and were focused on their preparations.
“We will go to the pitch on Sunday, work hard and go on for an upset.”
Speaking on his brace against Ethiopia, Moses said: “I was happy to have scored two goals on my AFCON debut, but the entire team should take the credit because we worked for the victory. That’s just the beginning as I am looking forward to bigger things here. We are here to do our best to make Nigeria proud.”
