They were accused of robbing one Felicia Funmilayo of her Nokia handset valued at N15 thousand, Eco bank passbook, First bank passbook and cash sum of N30 thousand along Ilara-Mokin-Owena Road on October 23, 2012.
According to the prosecution, the offence is contrary to and punishable under Section 6 (a) and (b) of the Robbery and Firearms (Special Provision) Act Cap R. II Laws of the Federal republic of Nigeria, 2004.
The plea of the accused persons was not taken due to the nature of the offence.
In his ruling, the presiding Chief Magistrate, Igbekele Akinyele ordered that the accused persons should be remanded in prison custody pending the outcome of the legal advice on the case from the Ministry of Justice.
The case was thereafter adjourned to January 27, 2013 for hearing.
In another development, a 54-year-old woman, Rachael Bola has been arraigned before a Chief Magistrate Court sitting in Akure.
Ms. Bola was alleged to have stolen 464 bags of cement valued at N835,600 property of one Chief Akinlolu Balofin at Idanre Road in Akure between the months of March and June, 2012
According to the prosecution, the offence is contrary to and punishable under section 516 of the Criminal code cap 37 Vol. I Laws of Ondo State of Nigeria 2006.
The accused person pleaded not guilty to the charge preferred against her.
The prosecutor, Atandeyi Ayodele, asked for an adjournment of the case to enable him assemble his witnesses.
The counsel to the accused, F.C Asho, applied for the bail of the accused in liberal terms.
In his ruling, the presiding magistrate, Charity Adeyanju, granted bail to the accused person in the sum of N300 thousand with one surety in like sum.
The case was thereafter adjourned to December 11 for hearing.
