Unilag Students Dazzle Africa Win Google Business Competition

The Google Apps Developer Challenge Winners
Three Students of the University of Lagos Willie Aniebet, Bolutife Ogunsola, and Michael Adeyeri  have put their names in gold, making their University proud as they  emerged winners of the Google Apps Developer Challenge for the Enterprise/Small Business Solutions category in sub-Saharan Africa.
In a sheer feat of determination, courage and creativity the trio developed  the Form + application software; an interface that creates application forms by just dragging and dropping components.
The new Apps will help to develop content and ease the process for creating curriculum vitae(CV) or resume submissions forms for businesses and coursework submission page for lecturers.
They were awarded  $20,000 and Chrome books, while they won for their Department a grant of $18,000 from the great American technology search engine  Company .
With this innovation the Young lads have once again proven that innovation the driving engine of businesses and economy does not reside only  in Germany, South Korea, Japan, India and the United States of America but also Nigeria.
It will be recalled   earlier this month  that  three girls stunned the world at a technology fair in Lagos, when they showcased  a generator they made that operates with  urine.
Mr Emeka Afigbo the Program Manager for  Google stated Our expectation is that this motivates more young Nigerian developers to develop apps that change the way we live in Nigeria and Africa at large.”
It is believed that this developments will stir up the  youth to engage their minds positively to bring ideas that can solve the challenges of Nigeria, rather than indulge in violent  and illicit acts.
