EFCC Plan Arrest Of Bi- Courtney's Wale Babalakin For Laundering Money For Ibori

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) plan to re-arrest and prosecute Mr. Wale Babalakin anytime from now for money laundering.
The agency had secretly arrested and released Babalakin last February over allegations that he helped former governor of Delta state, James Ibori launder some N2 billion that was used in buying a bombardier private jet.
Mr. Babalakin, a Lagos-based businessman and owner of Bi- Courtney construction company had his concession of the Lagos-Ibadan road terminated two days ago for lack of performance.
A source told Saharareporters that another non-performing contract in Ondo state will probably be terminated.
Babalakin is a lawyer whose company owns the new wing of the Ikeja domestic airport.
He is  also chancellor of the University of Maiduguri and once acted as an honorary legal adviser to the president. Babalakin crooked ways dates back to the early 1990s. He spent several months detained by former Nigerian military dictator, Sanni Abacha for participating in bank fraud.
 Sources at the EFCC told SaharaReporters that several agents are already looking for the businessman to bring him to their oiffice and file charges against him immediately.
