The meeting was attended by many ACF members. Speaking during the
opening ceremony, President of UPU, General Patrick Newton Aziza (rtd)
faulted the present political arrangement in the country whereby winners
take all.
“As a people, we believe in democracy
and good governance. Culturally and socio- politically, our people are
democrats. The essence of good governance is to organise resources of
states in such way as to dispense the greatest benefit to the greatest
number of people. Any leadership that does anything to the contrary is
not worthy of any support”, he said.
ACF Chairman Alhaji Aliko Mohammad
thanked the union for their visit. In his remark, National Publicity
Secretary of ACF Anthony Sani said the visit of UPU was a good omen.
